"Joshua 2(WIP)"

14"x16". gouache.

First of alll, this is unfinished. I was lucky enough to have my friend Joshua come to the studio to sit for me again. And since it seems like something that might become regular, I decided to start an image that I didn't intend to finish in one sitting. So this is about an hour's work again, total.

There are parts to it that I do want to address, but I now have the luxury of being at peace with that because I can Get To It Next Time :) Also, sitting on something for a while will allow me to have a slightly different perspective later.

Also, because it's Not Finished, I didn't go through the task of multi-part scanning and sorting together. I just took a single photo; so I'm sorry if the image quality isn't crisp, etc.

Might get to work more on this Sunday.

Looking forward to seeing the next stage. I like the loose quality it has so far and the small explosions of color. This reminds me of the class I had with Paul Olsen: Painting for Illustrators!

ps. And you are making me want to paint more.
